OHIP (Ontario Health Card) Covered Eye Exams
Children, 19 years of age or younger are covered for routine vision examinations every 12 months. Referrals are NOT required to schedule an appointment. Please contact our office for further details.
Seniors, 65 years of age or olderare covered for routine vision examinations every 12 months. Referrals are NOT required to schedule an appointment. Please contact our office for further details.
OHIP does not cover vision examinations for individuals between 20 and 64 years of age. Following exceptions do apply:
Every 12 months coverage for individuals with health disorders that affect eyes (e.g. Diabetes, pink eye): With a family doctor referral, appointments may be scheduled and the examination may be covered by OHIP. Please contact our office for further details.
